    ABOUT Wild trails

    WHAT IS WILD TRAILS?

    WILD β†Ÿ TRAILS was built by and for roleplayers who wanted a place to explore the world of Hydaelyn (and beyond) in its entirety while honouring and empowering each writer’s personal creative expression. As such, we exist to give our members a space to:

    • Tell and collaborate on immersive stories that span and utilize the breadth of the FFXIV universe.

    • Develop and share personal headcanon, homebrew, and worldbuilding while respecting and engaging with the creativity of others.

    • Contribute to community-driven events and event-planning, plots, and lore with the support of the moderation team.

    • Work with fellow writers to explore the craft of writing & roleplay, character development, and meaningful storytelling.

    COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

    1. ⬩ RESPECT IS ESSENTIAL

    • This is a safe space for asking questions, learning, growing, and writing together. Not knowing something is okay; being disrespectful is not. We’re all adults hereβ€”mutual respect and maturity are expected at all times.

    • Respect applies to yourself, too. Your perspective is valued; don't negate your own experience.

    • The use of slurs or discriminatory language (including transphobia, homophobia, sexism, racism, or religious bigotry) will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

    • Political discussion should remain relevant to any creative works at hand. Do not use the server as a platform for contemporary political debate.

    1. ⬩ ENGAGE
      WITH EACH OTHER

    • Take the time to read, absorb and consider what someone has shared so you can offer a meaningful response. Sharing creations/work only to receive a quick β€œI love this” or an emoji reaction is discouraging. Instead, practice critical thinking, ask questions, and engage in ways that communicate genuine interest.

    • Do not treat others as just a resource; if someone posts something cool (like a character sheet, story outline, spreadsheet, etc), do not immediately ask to use it for yourself without engaging thoughtfully with their content.

    • Do not post β€œover” others, or just wait for a topic to move on so that you can post your own thing. Try to read and engage with what’s already in the channel before posting something new.

    1. ⬩ CONTENT & THEMES

    • This is an 18+ server (21+ preferred.)

    • Content warnings and spoiler tags must be used where applicable. Use your best judgment. If someone asks you to tag a trigger or spoiler something, please oblige for the sake of everyone's comfort.

    • NSFW content must stay in the designated, age-gated channels. If you post NSFW content out of those spaces, it will be deleted and you will be removed from the server.

    1. ⬩ NO AI,
      NO EXCEPTIONS

    • Do not use generative AI for art, photos, edits, writing, or anything else and post it in this server. Generative AI is degrading our planet and relies on theft from human creators. It also tends to be ugly or poorly written. If the moderators see anything suspected to be AI generated, it will be deleted.

    1. ⬩ BE CHILL, BE KIND

    • This is a creative-focused space. Please do not bring drama or issues from other communities into this one. It is your responsibility to curate who you interact with and what you see in any given space.

    • If a truly heinous individual has joined the server, feel free to bring it up in a ticket in β€§β‚ŠΛšβœ§-mod-contact

    • If the moderator team reaches out to ask you to stop doing something and you continue to exhibit said behaviour or another incident occurs, you will be removed from the server after one incident.

    Our black market (the coil) has a separate set of rules.
